Low tide in Advocate Harbour on the Bay of Fundy. The tidal bore empties the entire bay twice daily The bore is so strong it can reverse the flow of rivers, pushing freshwater upstream for kilometers. NASA once used the Bay of Fundy tides as a testing ground for tidal energy research because of their immense power.
