We saw more mammals than birds during our time in Africa. One of the birds we did see on a few occasions was the African fish eagle. Found in sub-Saharan Africa, it is the national bird of the neighbouring countries of Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

I captured it in the wild on Botswana’s Chobe River. I used Lightroom to mask the sky, turning it black for a bold edit. Inspired by Eugene, I pushed my editing limits—and discovered a new passion.
