Today, #AirdrieLib has been celebrating its centenary with a host of special events.
A time capsule created by local school children was buried by Cllr Jim Logue, this was followed by a poetry recital by poet Ross Mitchell.
The celebrations end with a sold-out visit by author Graeme Armstrong.
#AirdrieLib will be hosting a special book launch event for the updated version of Sandra Brown's Where There Is Evil. Places are going fast for the launch event which will also feature Len Pennie.

Local school kids in Airdrie recently completed our Time Travellers project at #AirdrieLib - researching the past, thinking about the future and creating a time capsule. Lots of great work from the pupils and a fun end seeing a recap in the Immersive Room.
