A portrait of Alfred Munnings.

This is sir Alfred James Munnings and he was known as one of the greatest equestrian painters in England. Always painted such bright beautiful images of horses. He was born in 1878 and passed in 1959.

All Saints #church, #Morston, #Norfolk.

On the day Britain declared war on Germany in 1939 artist Sir #AlfredMunnings was doing a painting of this very church.

The red brick repair to the tower is due to repairs made after it was struck by lightning in 1743.
