First panel: Alice and Patchouli sitting in silence on Patchouli's bed. Second Panel: Alice thinks "What's the big idea?! She told me she had to tell me something in private in her room, but we've been in silence for 15 minutes!" Third panel: Alice begins to leave, says "Ah, I just remembered I had something to do, sorry!" and thinks "My tolerance for awkwardness is bled dry." Fourth panel: Alice begins to leave, says "If you'll excuse me...". The following two panels show Patchouli's hand reaching out and Alice's reaction. The second to last panel has Patchouli say "Wait..." and the final panel shows Patchouli grabbing Alice's sleeve with a conflicted embarassed expression.

First panel: Patchouli's expression turns sour and hard to read, "Look, I..." Second panel: two pairs of human and youkai lovers are shown, Patchouli's narration says "I... have never cared about 'love', 'romance' or whatever you call it. I just thought of it as something for humans to fulfill their short lives and for youkai to appease their boredom." Third panel: Alice looks stunned, Patchouli says offscreen "And since I don't need any of that, I saw it as something beneath me, but..." Fourth panel: A flashback of Alice fighting against Patchouli in a spell card duel, Patchouli's narration says "Then you came into my life. For a long time I just saw you as an annoyance, some toymaker with delusions of grandeur." Fifth panel, shows a flashback of Alice and Patchouli happily talking with each other. Patchouli's narration continues, "But you kept coming here, we kept arguing, we kept fighting, and everytime I felt like I enjoyed your presence more. You stood firm in your convictions, you talked back to me and engaged with what I said like nobody else did. I... started to look forward to seeing you."

First panel: Alice is blushing, says "Patchouli..." and Patchouli keeps speaking, "I don't know if this is what people call 'love'." Second panel: A close up of Patchouli, her cheeks visibly red, and she says "I have never felt this way before, I just..." Third panel: A POV shot of Patchouli from Alice's perspective, showing Patchouli slightly looking away and blushing with a tender expression, saying "I just know that right now, I really... really want to be by your side." Fourth panel: Alice is shown visibly lovestruck, her heart skipping a beat.
