After three weeks of paying homage to the classic series, #AliensofLondon and #WorldWarIII made for #DoctorWho fans' first taste of unadulterated #RTD and it was glorious. Too many brilliant moments to list and all held together with quintessentially British dark humour. That it's (1/3)

#TheReaping has strong hints of #AliensofLondon - as Peri returns home, having "disappeared" a while back. Given this was made shortly after, its not surprising that writers would've used similar tropes as New Who, all in an attempt to attract a new audience.
