As I write, magic moments occur, moments I had not planned, moments that change the story, moments that expand my journey. I love those moments.

Writing A Sci-Fi Future - MJ Blehart - Author The sci-fi future often reflects current reality. Good and bad, sharp and dull, dystopia and utopia, and everything in-between.

Today, I’m musing on ways to write a sci-fi future.

WOW! Thanks so much for posting this. The video is stunning, and the description of what the amazing people at the ESA/Juice operations had to deal with is fabulous! Great sci-fi material for us writers!

Censorship matters on the page when it changes what characters can safely do on a normal Tuesday.

Text that says:
The first things Hope's teachers had taught her were how to read and write. The first gift they had given her was a dictionary she could keep. Hope enjoyed reading her dictionary. It was full of wonderful words she never heard anyone use.
In addition to the textbook about physics, she also read about other sciences, such as chemistry, biology, and geology, as well as books about math. She even read a financial management and accounting book and a cookbook.
While she enjoyed learning factual things, her favorite books were stories about people and their adventures; stories that described experiences, emotions, and possibilities beyond her own; stories that provided a temporary escape from her reality.
The people in those stories were significantly different from her making it difficult to relate to them. Yet, they existed in a way that she sometimes wished she could. That didn't bother her, though. She was doing a good job of surviving, and sometimes the people in those stories were messed up in ways she didn't want to be. Regardless, those stories were fantasies of what could be, not what really was.

Portals, dragons, and a villain called the Crimson Censor, but the interesting bit is the mechanics: who can speak safely, who can’t, and what it costs. https://rubipod.link/MagicMultiverse
