This different angle shows more of the shape of the bridge ruin, which in this image spans from the bottom left to the center of the image. Vines can be seen growing down from the broken arch, while grass and other plants grow on its top. The top right of the image is dominated by the ruin of the large domed building.

Bridge is now properly in ruin as well!

The place is really starting to look like the desolate, eerie place it's supposed to be :)

A Minecraft screenshot of my project "Amber Valley". A small valley can be seen in a plotworld. A river flows through the center, flanked by cliffs and the occasional plateau. Dark grass breaks up the greys of the cliff faces. The terrain is still very barren, with nearly no plants on the grass blocks or stone. In the center, on a large plateau flanking the river, a circular stone brick building with a copper domed roof can be seen. It is not fully integrated into the terrain since the idea is to tear it down and turn it into a ruin.

Built a pretty dome just to tear it down now >:D

This is a technique I like to use for ruins: build the full building first (roughly) and then tear it down, it makes the ruins much more realistic and better looking imo.

Watching Age of Umbra by @criticalrole.bsky.social inspired me to build a grimdark-esque valley with creepy plants and old ruins.

Naming this the "Amber Valley" as a nod to the Amber Reach in the Age of Umbra :)
