A shark in Javanese wayang style with a label also in Javanese calligraphy saying "Sucipto" ornamented with rerenggan (ornament) in the form of three-bodied fishes.
Sometimes I look to the manuscript traditions of my own neck of the wood. Which means Javanese wayang style art.
Anyways
Sucipto

Anyway
I think the Heian period is cool.
but also the use of European style cuirass in the Sengoku period is cool.
And while rarely attested, asymmetrical armor is also very cool.

Medieval depiction of April Within a circular frame of pink and gold: A medieval Antelope-Panther in centaur configuration, with feline forelegs and antelope hind legs is walking on a grassy knoll. Transporting a hawk in a hood in one hand and holding a falconry lure in the other. It is also wearing a flower crown and some pilgrim badges. Framing the circle is a square frame, within it in the space between the frame and the circle is a scene of sheep and goats being put out to pasture and a woman milking a cow. A starry sky with representations of Aries and Taurus. On the bottom in red calligraphy: "Aprilis" with dragon motif decor on the side.
The Labour of the Month of April is:
Outdoor recreation
Hawking, picking flowers and wearing crowns of them, traveling specially for pilgrimage, boating etc. it's the most varied I think
But also it's when the cows are milked and livestock sent to pasture.

An illuminated manuscript style page with a decorated initial. "Wondrous thing hangs by a man's thigh, under it's lord's clothing. In front there is a hole. It has a good home. When the servant raises his own garment up over his knee. He wants to greet with his dangling head that well-known hole, of equal lenght, which he has often filled before." In the middle with the text surrounding it, a key in the shape of two dragons which is the answer to the riddle.
One of the Old English "Improper riddles" from the Exeter Book

A waist up portrait of someone in armor, with no visible body part visible. and a stalk of tuberoses takes the place of a head
An experimental painterly potrait of Aga
it doesn't come up much but his flower motif is the tuberose.
Also something different taking inspiration from the usual "inspired by Medieval Illuminated Manuscript" art I do

Methought it's time to freshen up the old profile pic.

Drawing of four helmets, on top in a row of three, on the bottom one. For one labelled Edmont, a helmet with gold fittings, crested with a red unicorn head , and adorned with also a red cloth, with ermine linings underneath. second, labelled Artoirel, a helmet with steel and gold fittings, crested with a red unicorn head with a white heraldic label on it's neck, and adorned with also a red cloth, with gold linings underneath. third, labelled Emmanelain, a helmet with steel fittings, crested with a red unicorn head with a blue and white striped cloth on it's neck, and adorned with also a red cloth, with gold linings underneath. on the bottom, labelled Haurchefant an Uma Kabuto, that is a Japanese style helmet crested with a bay coloured horse head with white markings.
With Heavensturn soon, I'm reminded of that one time Haurchefant was so keen on wearing the uma kabuto and had heraldry thoughts on helmet crests
