I mixed "Fancy" down from a Tascam 388 to an Ampex ATR-102. My last mix had just enough tape to make it to the end of the song then flailed off the reel. You can hear the end of the tape distort and warp past the play head in the last split second.

Ok #Analog #Tape nerds. I couldn’t find any equivalent of the old #Ampex sliders for calculating VU level based on the specs of an MRL tape, so I whipped one up.
