Youbg Apostlebird, caught in the branches. You can see its right leg pinned. Poor thing must have given up, exhausted from trying to free itself.

Mum comes running.

Baby hasn't moved an inch, and is clearly distressed.

Parent bird still yelling at me to leave the scene after I freed her baby. Twenty seconds before this, she dive bombed me several times.

Taking photos I heard a cry & saw a young #Apostlebird hanging from one of the bushes, its leg caught between two branches. I freed it, & within seconds, its family turned up to investigate. Dive-bombing family parted my hair, but I had to put the camera down to examine the bird, so no footage.
