I haven’t been to an #Applebees in two decades+ and the thought of it makes my stomach go boom boom.

If I make the effort to dial a phone or visit somewhere, I want to have the option to talk to a human. Some things can be handled via automation; others can't. The fact that #Applebees decided to use this POS AI w/out taking care of the bugs beforehand has lost them a customer.

[rant on] Website wouldn't let me order as usual. Couldn't find individual menu items, only previous orders & stuff on the advertising slider. Got irritated & decided to call the restaurant directly.

What Nicole stumbled onto was a newer experiment from the two restaurant chains to operate side by side under one roof. According to Restaurant Business, the first U.S. location combining both chains opened in February in Seguin, Texas.
