When I look at this image, I feel it conveys a direct connection to the ephemeral and the intangible. In this piece, I wanted to represent the importance of the working class, those who are often seen as the most fragile part of society but, in reality, are the most fundamental. The pawn, though it may be the humblest piece in chess, is also the foundation upon which the entire game is built. Without pawns, there is no king; without the working class, the entire structure collapses. This pawn, worn and solitary in a desolate and hostile landscape, reinforces the idea that, although they often go unnoticed or even ignored, they bear the burdens and remain steadfast. The visible wear on the piece reflects their daily sacrifices, the constant and silent dedication of those who support the entire social structure from its foundations. I wanted to capture the duality of the pawn: its apparent fragility and its essential strength. The mist at its feet and the overcast sky above it highlight its solitude, underscoring the invisibility often imposed upon them. With this work, my intention is to pay homage to that working class, to the individuals who, even without holding positions of power, are the ones who truly move the world. It is a tribute to the strength found in the everyday and to the dignity of those who build from the ground up.

The suspended heads, with a metallic blue sheen, symbolize the mind trapped between golden chains, a metaphor for the barriers we often face in life, whether self-imposed or external. Each face reflects serenity, but also a touch of melancholy. I wanted the expressions to invite introspection, as if each figure were in a state of deep reflection, trapped yet still aware. The golden chains represent not only oppression but also something valuable, perhaps the idea that our limitations can have a purpose or hidden meaning. The contrast between the cold heads and the red vines emerging from the ground was intentional. The reddish plants symbolize life and struggle, adding a touch of warmth amidst what appears to be a scene of control. It’s a visual battle between what restricts and what grows, between the cold and the warm, between the mind and the body. The forest, with its tall and silent trees, feels like a refuge, a secluded place where one can escape the noise of the modern world. The rays of light filtering through the foliage create an almost sacred atmosphere, inviting quiet reflection. I wanted those rays to feel like little divine touches, highlighting the spiritual connection between art and nature. In my work "Attraction", I explore the invisible tension that exists between human beings, that magnetism that subtly and inevitably pulls us together. The arrangement of the chairs in this piece is key: they are neither aligned nor completely facing each other, but placed at angles that suggest movement, as if they are in the process of approaching one another without ever touching. Each chair seems to float in its own space, but the void between them is charged with a palpable energy. Light plays a crucial role in this work. I use soft, controlled lighting, with long shadows extending from the chairs towards the center of the composition, symbolizing that invisible but undeniable attraction. The colors, dominated by soft grays with touches of warm light, reinforce the atmosphere of expectation and desire. Each chair is bathed in light that highlights it individually, yet also suggests a connection with the others, creating a visual dialogue between distance and closeness.
