#askAdhd when friends or family make jokes about your adhd how do you respond to them?
Trump's billionaire Bill Bill with pictures of Trump surveillance cameras, Jeff, Bezos, Elon Musk, and ice taking someone away
Has CHADD, ADDA, or any other US ADHD org come out with any statements on the impacts of the final version of the Republican Billionaire Bailout Bill & the different ways it will affect people with ADHD?
Or has any ADHD blogger done a comprehensive breakdown of the final bill?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good reminder app? I need to be able to set monthly recurring tasks as well as one-off ones.
I've been using Any. do and it has all the functions I need, but it simply isn't reminding me of some of my (very important) tasks.

OK you can use the hashtag #AskADHD on Bluesky and X marks the Nazi Rot if you want to ask questions to parents of kids with ADHD or ADHD adults

Hello👋 I’m a Japanese person with ADHD. Recently in Japan, "fashion ADHD" has become popular, where people self-diagnose themselves by looking at the diagnostic criteria for ADHD on the Internet and etc. Is this fashionable in other countries as well?

What ADHD friendly frictionless or reduced friction digital way has worked for you to track your physical exercises easily on your Mac laptop or iPhone?
I’ve used computers for decades, but I just want a simple, easy way to track this.

3 years ago I joined the #adhd community on twitter. Within 2 weeks 1K people on there started to follow my journey into figuring out how to properly manage my traits and symptoms. I found the tools and help I needed right away. Using the hashtag #askAdhd I learned how helpful and resourceful we are
Hey BC people with ADHD
They used to be BC based ADHD parents online only private Facebook group of about 7,000 members but I can't find it anymore.
Anyone know if they changed their name or if they still exist?
Searched for it on FB with multiply keywords but can't find it

Four pictures depict Neurotypical, Autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. The Neurotypical photo shows a picture of a man with a caption that reads, “I can do whatever”. The Autism photo shows a picture of a woman with a caption that reads, “I need routines to function”. The ADHD photo shows a picture of a woman with a caption that reads, “I function in chaos”. The AuDHD photo shows a picture of a man with a caption that reads, “Wait, you guys can function?”
Being autistic and ADHD is challenging. Every day you feel your brain pulling you in different directions, from routines to chaos.
What are the biggest challenges for you?

Velma from Scooby-Doo is shown searching for her glasses. A caption reads, "My subtitles. I can't hear without my subtitles…".
Do you use subtitles? I'm using them more and more when they are available? It helps me to keep track of what's going on, and I like that I can turn the sound down when it gets overwhelming.

Two pictures of Gollum from Lord of the Rings are shown. The top picture shows Gollum smiling with a caption that reads, “We thrive on routines.” A picture below shows Gollum angry with a caption that reads, “But we hates it!”.
Do you need routines but actually dislike them at the same time?

Two illustrated heads that look the same are looking towards each other. The one on the left is labeled Autism and has a caption that reads, “I will cry if anything changes.” The one on the right is labeled ADHD and has a caption that reads, “I will cry if I can't rearrange all of the furniture RIGHT NOW.” image by: unknown

A painting of a monk with a halo who is reading a book. His eyes are wide open in an exaggerated way. A caption above reads, “When you’ve read the same paragraph for the 6th time and still didn’t pay attention”.
I frequently have to re-read the same paragraph over and over again before it sinks in. It is really frustrating, and makes reading a book take forever. It even happens when I’m listening to an audio book.
Do you struggle with this?

Watching the same show over-and-over again is one way I regulate the autistic side of my brain. But the ADHD side sure gets bored sometimes. Do you watch any shows on repeat? #AskingAutistics #AskADHD #ActuallyAutistic image: @NoNonsenseND

A graphic by Erin Human (@theeisforerin) with drawings of a face is shown in several panels. The “tendril” panels show long squiggly lines coming out of the head representing thoughts. The panels read, 1. When I’m focused on something 2. My mind sends out a million tendrils of thought 3. Expands into all of the thoughts & feelings 4. When I need to switch tasks 5. I must retract all of the tendrils of my mind 6. This takes some time 7. Eventually I can shift to the new task 8. But when I am interrupted or must switch abruptly 9. It feels like all of the tendrils are being ripped out 10. That’s why I don’t react well 11. Please just give me time 12. To switch tasks when I’m ready
It is often hard for me to switch tasks. Especially when I get into a hyperfocus state. 🧘
I've always struggled to explain to others why it is so difficult. 🤔
“Tendril theory" by Erin Human explains it really well.

Does a generic brand of slow release Ritalin that doesn't have any gluten or dairy in it exist? Asking for a friend, and wondering if they should just ask for Vyvanse instead?

I don't know a better way to put it, but do you ever literally find yourself forgetting how to talk, occasionally? Like, you don't know how to vocalize for a bit? #AskADHD #AskingAutistics #neurodiversesquad It just happened to me for the first time in a while.
