A gorgeous film, and it also looks different than other stuff. This kind of reminds me of The Lighthouse a bit, just in being very different-looking that everything else in its class. This is William H. Macy, and he's dead-center of the frame, not just east-west, but north-south. It's interesting.
So I've read that this is a 3:2 #aspectratio, which is wild, bc watching it, I could swear it's a box, like nearly square.
What that means is that subjects can be totally centered in the frame in a way they couldn't in most films.
It does fascinating things to the #cinematography 🤩
