๐ Pink robin (Petroica rodinogaster) The male pink robin (pictured) is a small, but striking, Australian robin, with a bold pink breast, grey-black upperparts, a white forehead spot, and a black bill. Females are duller, grey-brown with a pinkish tinge below and a buff forehead spot. They inhabit cool, temperate forests of southeastern Australia, including Tasmania. Usually seen alone or in pairs, they are shy and forage for insects and spiders in shrubs or on the ground. Their call is a soft, chattering trill.
