Day 29: Each of my books I write, I have a different hope for what my reader gets out of them. For my WIP, I hope it makes them look at the world in a different way. A world of hope and endless possibilities. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 26: It really depends on the book that I am writing, on how long it has taken me to write it. If it is a novel, then a year to two years. Children's books, I can have the story in half a day. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 24: My WIP is about a lady that describes her journey of feeling like she was born into the world broken. After a tragic accident she grows psychic abilities. The abilities not only help her, but also those around her. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

21. Real-world Tetris. By this I mean Fridge Tetris (fitting stuff into the fridge), Dishwasher Tetris, etc. My family will stare at a space, mystified about how to fit things into it, and I will rearrange a few things and fit it all into the space in seconds.

Day 20: I would like to build a new room for my workspace. A room with tall windows, sound proof walls, and lots of forms of seating. Some times I think better sitting criss-cross in a chair, other times laying on a sofa, I would love options! #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 18: In my Lady In White book series, my main character's name is Emma. The name needed to be from the 1800s, because that is when the book is based. I had an old family photo from the 1800s on the wall next to me, and the little girls name is Emma. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 17: I have a couple of unfinished books I am currently working on. One is a children's book that is currently a personalized ebook that I will be turning into a paperback. The other is a paranormal fiction in the writing stage. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 16: I have enjoyed writing stories since I was a child. I have enjoyed finding some of the things that I have forgotten I had wrote hidden away in folders. Maybe one day I should dust them off and share them! #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 13: When I started writing my Lady In White book, I learned something about myself. I absolutely love investigating. Every time I found an useful article, it would bring me joy. I enjoy researching anything. Spirits, family histories, healthy living, etc! #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

11. Definitely fantasy. The bulk of my story ideas just fall into that. One short story I'm working on is SF and another is speculative fiction. Anything else not fantasy is YA or NA.

Day 12: Eragon is one of my favorite characters by Christopher Paolini. It has been years since I read this book series, but these books and characters have stuck with me. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 11: I am torn between writing paranormal and fantasy. Each day that I am asked this question may give a different answer. After watching the Conjuring movie the other day, I would say I prefer paranormal writing. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing #paranormalfiction #fantasyfiction

9. The germ of the Rest in Grift series came years ago, from watching the episode of Buffy where she's in a mortuary with her date (long story), and vampires are just rising willy-nilly. I thought, "The morticians are in league with the vampires!"

Day 10: I do have a couple people that give a little support. No cheerleaders though. It would be great to have people surrounding me that would be enthused to discuss my storylines, but I do not. But I write for me. Creating my books make me happy! #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writing

Day 9: The idea to write "Broken to Outspoken" began when I watched a show talking about our purpose in life, combined with the divide forming in the US. I hope this story will show others there is a bigger picture to the world than any of us can see. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fiction #writing

Day 8: I have always been a people pleaser. Therefore, I do take reviews personally. Good reviews put me in a great mood all day. On the flip side, bad reviews take the wind out of my sail for the day. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fantasyfiction #writing

5. I'm torn between the fabulous lounge singer, Chantilly St. Clair (who is a bass) and the diminutive chef/former bookie henchman Oscar, who gets stuck with a French accent due to someone else's wish to a Fae, despite his not knowing French.

Day 7: I don't know if it is quirky or not, but when I start a book, I start to write the beginning of the story, then I write the last paragraph of the book. I have to know how I am going to finish the book before I can write the middle! #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fantasyfiction #writing

Day 6: My favorite part is the research. In "The Lady In White" I read through hundreds of newspapers from the 1800s and early 1900s to find more informations about the Marceline, MO lady in white legend. Found interesting newspaper stories. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fantasyfiction #writing

4. Probably urban fantasy/paranormal, which is to say, fantasy taking place in our world (or one a lot like it, i.e. Discworld), but it may collide with a hidden world, or there may be people in the world who are not what they seem at first glance.

Day 5: It is hard to choose my favorite character, it is like trying to choose a favorite child. Although, I enjoyed writing as my character Zalvador from "Zalvador and the Fairy Village of Shroom" He is calm, inventive, and level headed. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fantasyfiction #writing

2. The first book I wrote (and actually finished) was called Nocturne. It continued to live in a three-ring binder for many years after I decided to stop querying it, but I may recycle some lines from it in the future. It wasn't ALL bad. (Just mostly!)

1. Currently writing Book #4 in a 7-book paranormal series about grifters who become funeral directors and then have to fight vampires in a western PA coal town. Book #1 about to go to my editor so I can start serializing it next year.

Day 4: I am drawn to reading fantasy and paranormal fiction books. Although, I also am into natural healing and am always picking up books about plant based eating. It seems what I enjoy reading is also what I enjoy the most in writing. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #fantasyfiction #writing

Day 3: I am inspired by many things. Many of my books started out as a dream (or maybe nightmare). Although I get inspiration from imagining the what-ifs in my daily life. Along with things that play on my emotions; example music. #AuthorTalkSeptember #booksky #writingcommunity #writing
