The picture shows all plate of home made Custard Cream Biscuit Cake slices which l made here in our kitchen yesterday evening. For my overseas friends a Custard Cream biscuit (invented in the U.K. in 1908) is a cookie which has an upper and a lower part and a custard cream filling. Here, it has been deconstructed to make these cake slices which have had other ingredients added. Picture wise we see a black kitchen work top and then we have our cake slices which are a decadent light cream colour on a black plate. For seasonal decoration and to celebrate the spooky season of Halloween, l have added various candles and jack-o-lanterns which are wonderful shades of orange with yellow flames Those Halloween decorations and the rest of our kitchen is in a very soft focus, allowing the main subject to be more emphasised. The whole picture is in colour and it is finished off with a deep orange thin border frame. No tricks, just treats from my kitchen to yours ☺️
