A flock of Avocets fly against a pale blue sky from left to right - the background also contains seven black telegraph wires. The birds are slim and graceful with long legs stretched out behind and a long black beaks which are upturned at their ends. The birds are white with distinctive black markings on the tops of their heads, wing tips, 'elbows' and shoulders.
