Mariko Kazama, armed with the sword torn from the devastated remains of the primal Ravana, stands before him, leaning forward and pointing a finger into his face. Their eyes are locked together in a battle of defiance. Her expression is one of amusement. Satisfaction. Dominance. "I am neither gentle nor ethereal, child of the sun," she proclaims to him, in a voice barely above a whisper, but carrying the force of a lion's roar. "I dance as the whirlwind, fierce, and untamed. You may gaze into my eyes, and find not the Nhaama of your dreams. But what if I peer into yours, and see a raging flame to be fanned? Gather your strength, brother of the Steppe, for I shall return home again soon."

[ The Ruby Sea ] Mariko stands at the entrance of the cave which leads from the shores of Yanxia to the Azim Steppe. She thinks to herself, "This is it... After all this time..."

[ The Azim Steppe ] Lyse Hext, Mariko Kazama, Yugiri Mistwalker, and Gosetsu Daito emerge from the cave and walk out into the open plains of the Azim Steppe at sunrise.

[ The Azim Steppe ] Mariko stops short, overcome with emotion. "It's every bit as beautiful as I remember," she says, choking back tears. "I'm... I'm here. I'm finally here again."

Now that it was the day of the Naadam he knew Kheree was going to be out , fighting for leadership of the Steppe. Feeling helpless that he wasn’t able to be there for him like he promised

The only words Yargai is able to get out as he becomes paralyzed and has to lay bound and helpless on the floor

Almost forgot to finish this. Yargai realized that he missed the day he and Kheree were to meet up in Reunion. Since he had been taken by the Buduga and Ganzorig kept him on a tight leash , it didn’t seem like he would ever see his beloved again.
