Same background as the pictures in the original post, only with different text: Today, he had turned eighteen, and he got to see his friends having fun. He got to see them each hang out with a new crowd with different people whom Asahi barely knew. It felt a little like a prelude to graduation. The smaller clusters each holding one of his close friends, Nishi, Daichi, Suga, and Mao. With Yusuke even completely out of the picture, it looked so much like small frames of different places. It was a perfect metaphor for diverging paths, still connected but each on their own with new people in the picture. This would be them in less than half a year. It made Asahi stand closer to his boyfriend and take Takkun's hand firmly in his. There had to be enough space in Takkun's frame for both of them.
This was my original choice of excerpt, then I decided to go with something more light-hearted.
