One day, for no apparent reason, Katara walks into Ozai’s cell. He proceeds to assail her with a batshit tirade about Fire Nation superiority, complete with racist barbs about the Water Tribe that are neither original nor particularly cutting. She watches him with a blank expression, like she’s watching a bug crawl across a wall, until he inevitably runs out of steam. She then says with no emotion whatsoever: “I’m fucking your daughter.” And walks out to live the rest of her life.
