Views of my workday on Tuesday, Dec 17, about 11 A.M., just as the sun came out for a few minutes. Up in the subapline fir forests just east of Smithers, in northwest British Columbia. About thirty-six inches of powder over the last three weeks. And probably another foot fell on Wednesday. #BCWild

Sunday drive to Owen Hat, near Mount Nadina, in the burnt over forests above the west end of Francois Lake. An upright protrusion of columnar basalt, this is the most prominent of many in the area. Fairly in the middle of nowhere, we had the place all to ourselves. #Geology #BCWild #Nature
