#finanstwitter

Meetings 2025 wrap Auckland is roughly the same latitude as Melbourne and shares the same reputation for four seasons in one day. At Meetings 2025 that is just what we experienced. Day one started with breakfast at the revolving restaurant on Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower. The early start was chosen so we could watch the sunrise – all we saw was cloud.

MEA’s collapse raises bigger questions about industry representation The collapse of Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) has sent shockwaves through the industry, raising serious questions about the future of professional representation. While other associations remain, such as PCMA and the Venue Management Association (VMA), attention now turns to the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA)—an organization already grappling with internal challenges. A Leadership Void? In a concerning development, four ABEA board members resigned before any election could take place last month.
