Air New Zealand Launches First Electric Aircraft with Successful BETA ALIA CX300 Test Flight
Aviation News – Air New Zealand’s first all-electric aircraft, the BETA ALIA CX300, completed its maiden test flight from Tauranga Airport on October 17, 2025, marking a major step toward sustainable aviation in the country. The aircraft, developed by U.S.-based BETA Technologies, arrived in New Zealand earlier this month and was officially welcomed with a sunrise blessing ceremony in Tauranga.
