October - Days of the Dead Create something around a character death, memorial, lingering ghost, or fins a way a character might cheat it! This time, it's a trip into the morbid. Whether you take a canon character death, a potential character death, or explore a "what if" of a character who usually dies finding a way to survive. All kinds of cultures in Faerun and beyond have different attitudes to death and mourning, which are no doubt complicated by how certain spells - or even gods - can restore the dead to life. So, the choice is yours - celebrate life, grieve death, or even explore the eternal scribe... OPTIONAL SUGGESTED PROMPTS - The Dead Three took over divine deathly duties. Do they work? - What was Isobel Thorm's funeral like? Selunite? The challenge this time centres on all kinds of customs and traditions. Do the characters follow them? Or do they reject those parts of their heritage and culture? There are lots of ways this can go, from things like Githyanki stoic and very literal "survival of the fittest" to Paladins, Clerics, and Druids who are often raised around certain old ways. February - Romance Novels Go for something romantic, or if romance isn't your cup of tea try something around the Necromancy of Thay! Time for the second challenge! February often means romance - so I'd love to see some first dates, longer relationships, really lean in on everything romantic. But! If romance isn't your thing, I would love to see some creations around the Necromancy of Thay instaed! The book holds many secrets that could be explored or unlocked by all kinds of characters, NPCs, or perhaps even one of the villains gets their claws on the key to greater power... Have fun! Optional suggested prompts: - Write or draw a fluffy romantic date for your favourite pairing - Try creating a date between a whole new pairing! - Traditional dates - food, wine, dancing, even a coffee AU! - The pairing meet under different circumstances to canon - Bring kink and romance together with headspaces or aftercare - Pick your favourite romance novel/art trope and try it out - Focus on the moment the book is opened, by who, what now? - Does the book have a personality of its own?... - The former owner of the book wants it back! - Power comes with drawbacks, what goes wrong? - The one with the book needs help with it, who do they go to? - Necromancy could bring someone back, but who?
