V/A “Dark Matters Too”, 2013.
Well-above average darkwave, experimental electronic compilation on often (apparently) copyright sus & mysterious Light Sounds Dark label. If you can find it you should grab it up toot sweet. The vinyl is serviceable the tracks are obscure bangers!

Saccharine and deconstructed soft pop. In the style of a vintage cassette with heat stroke & absolutely absorbing.
File this under vaporwave/Seapunk/Mallsoft/Dreampunk, though rises above recycled & screwed media.

An influx of donated said instruments led to a novel orchestra and some otherworldly results. Covers Jarre, Bowie, Vangelis, Purcell, Eno…

Includes abstract cover art, a series of hanging cylinders.

Steve Fisk, when not producing many of Seattle area’s most infamous bands, noodled around with tapes, keyboards and effects, producing this rare item that I loved beyond most anything else spewing from 1988.

I went through a period of time hearing apparently what nobody else was hearing.

A band that had the chops of Wire and the daring of Black Dice. Possessing a tremendous ear for a great hook!
Just me? Really?

Flash and the Pan “Headlines”.
Australian household name of the era, Flash & the Pan had some heat on them after singles like “Walking in the Rain” & “Hey, Saint Peter, later with minor club favourite “Midnight Man”.
But for my money the opening track here “Jetsetter’s Ball” is A+!
