At the Bled Strategic Forum I addressed the European and broader geopolitical context and underlined Europe’s priorities:
- defending our interests, standing with Ukraine,
- ⁠addressing Gaza’s crisis, and
- ⁠investing in defence and enlargement. #BSF2025

The EU is not a closed club.

The accession paths of the Western Balkans, Moldova and Ukraine are not just promises. They are priorities.

For that, we need to adopt a new cultural mindset: overcoming historical conflicts in order to build a shared future.

The EU’s position is clear. We call for:
•An immediate and sustained ceasefire,
•Unhindered humanitarian access,
•The unconditional release of all hostages,
•A halt to illegal settlement activity, and
•A renewed international commitment to a two-state solution.

Our security is tied to Ukraine’s resilience. But equally, to the idea that power cannot trump law.

At the same time, we are building stronger trade and industrial partnerships across the globe—not just to boost trade, but to increase predictability and resilience, to reduce strategic dependencies.

But our partners—including the U.S.—must know that the EU will always defend its sovereignty, its citizens, its companies, and its values. Diplomacy should never be mistaken for complacency.

We must become more autonomous, more resilient, and more prepared to act.

Day 1 of #BSF2025 kind of sucked after an awful showing in #CardfightVanguard, but the side events were kind today and managed to bag 2 of my 3 Abyss promos for the event.

Fingers crossed that Day 2 for Shadowverse gives us at least a win somewhere. Another X-3 drop cant be tolerated.
