When the weather doesn't co-operate for metal detecting, I go thrifting. Picked up two glass jars for #3.99 each:
1) 1908 "QUICK SEAL" with metal bail.
2) Ball "IDEAL" with metal bail.

Anyone know what's going on with #BallJars? This is the third one to go in just a few weeks. I use them for freezing mostly, but never had problems like this before. Where can I get a reliable USA made (I am in the US) canning jar?
