Both teams started the game with plenty of intent, Methody coming close in the opening minutes. However Banbridge were first to trouble the scoreboard with a well worked try as Andrew Jackson chipped the ball into the hands of Ethan Houston for the winger to score out wide for a 5 - 0 lead.

Medallion Trophy: Banbridge Academy 7 Belfast High School 31 Final Friends School, Lisburn was the neutral venue for the Medallion Trophy Final between Banbridge Academy and Belfast High School. A strong cold wind blew down the pitch, initially in High School’s favour. As the match kicked off Lisburn was hit with a strong squall with heavy rain and strong winds causing handling and kicking problems for both teams. With the rain and wind at their backs, High School coped with the conditions better and settled into a forward dominated game.

A good crowd was treated to some fine rugby by the home team who got off the mark early with No 12, Dawson Knox bursting through to open the scoring. for a 5 - 0 lead.

Schools Cup: Banbridge Academy 3 Sullivan Upper School 24 On Sunday afternoon, as the first game of a double header, with the Ulster v Zebres game, Kingspan Stadium was the venue for the Round of 16 Schools Cup tie, between Banbridge Academy and Sullivan Upper School. Overhead conditions were appalling. A strong cold swirling wind and heavy rain sucked the heat out of players making any handling a jeopardy.

Banbridge started well, scoring an early try from No 8, Charlie Geoghagen who crashed over beside the posts to give Daniel Byrne a straightforward conversion for a 7 - 0 lead. Charlie Geoghegan picked up three tries from Banbridge, It was all Banbridge in the first half but it took until midway through the half for the same combination to double the lead, Geoghagen going over in the corner and Byrne converting from out wide to take the score to 14 - 0.
