Medallion Shield: Sullivan Upper 12 Friends School 12 Semi Final We caught up with the Medallion Shied semi final between Sullivan Upper and Friends School at Grosvenor Grammar on Saturday morning. Friends won the toss and elected to play with the wind on their backs. Nerves must have been jangling with a series of handling errors as both sides struggled to hang onto the ball. It took 20 minutes of fractured play before Sullivan Captain Lucas McKeown breached the friends defence and raced in under the posts easily converted by Noah Cassidy to take a 7 - 0 lead.

Medallion Shield: Sullivan Upper 20 Larne Grammar 7 We caught up with the Medallion Shield match between Sullivan Upper and Larne Grammar at Sullivan on Saturday morning. This was a tense encounter between two well matched sides as Larne's flair was matched by Sullivan's grunt. Larne were on the defence early on and just as it looked like they were going to weather the storm Sullivan's No 8 barged over from close range for the opening try, converted by their outhalf, for a 7 - 0 lead.

Schools Cup: Banbridge Academy 3 Sullivan Upper School 24 On Sunday afternoon, as the first game of a double header, with the Ulster v Zebres game, Kingspan Stadium was the venue for the Round of 16 Schools Cup tie, between Banbridge Academy and Sullivan Upper School. Overhead conditions were appalling. A strong cold swirling wind and heavy rain sucked the heat out of players making any handling a jeopardy.

Our final Schools Cup match from the weekend was the wet and windy clash between #BanbridgeAcademyRugby and #SUSRugby at Ravenhill on Sunday afternoon. (The only good rugby played there I hear!)
