Gay bar and drag launching pad Barracuda Lounge to close after three decades in Chelsea Hedda Lettuce, Bob the Drag Queen, Monet Exchange and Miz Cracker found a start here, its owner says.

New Yorkers were disheartened at the sudden announcement that Barracuda Lounge, a Chelsea gay bar with the longest-running drag competition in NYC, closed on Sunday, March 23.
