The #BattleofCulloden, the final battle of the #Scottish #Jacobite #Rebellions, took place. The Scots lost the battle and the war. As a result, the British abolished the Highland Clan structure, outlawed the wearing of kilts, and forcibly banned any an all “warlike” weapons.
