I finally had some time, so I installed #BazziteOS on my gaming laptop, and so far, so good! As well as being able to play games, I can also compile code, and the power management is much better under Linux. Windows kept the fan speed rather high, which my wife joked about constantly. Next step D3 👹

Linux mint をインストールしたばかりだけど、セカンドPCに、Bazzite OS を追加インストールしてmint とのデュアルブートにしてみた。

色々試すなら、やり始めの今が一番被害が少ないので良いタイミングだよね。

Bazziteは、ゲームに重点を置いてるとのこと。インストールで、ストレージの選択方法がLinux mintより分かりやすかったのは高評価。日本語入力もアプリケーションのインストールも特に問題無さそう。

Steamゲームの稼働については、呆気なすぎて書くことが無いよ〜。

mint並に文書管理がしやすいかはこれから試用予定。

I'm running both my laptop and desktop on Aurora & Bazzite respectively after being on Windows for so long. Of course there was TONS of trial & error, but it was worth it. Now I'm at the point where I can comfortably daily drive Linux going forward.

Using my old PC parts I've put together a PC to experiment with @bazzite.gg OS with SteamDeck interface. It's a bit janky in places because of the nVidia drivers, but the performance is great. Planning on moving to Bazzite on my main PC in the living room.
