In 1925, a pair of #PolarBears from Greenland arrived at #Beaumaris Zoo, #Hobart. When Beaumaris Zoo closed in 1937, the polar bears were sent on to Wellington Zoo in New Zealand.
Today the Hobart Domain where people enjoy the open space - are standing on the same hill where polar bears once lived.
