We adopted Akela at 11 mos old. She came from a neglectful situation, was afraid of her own shadow, and didn’t make a peep - the Marcel Marceau of huskies. Now, a year and a half later, she’s completely blossomed, has found her voice, and is the most playful 90lb dog I’ve ever met.☺️

When Akela showed up, she was the Marcel Marceau of huskies. The suspicion is that her previous owners probably punished her for making noise. Fortunately, she seems to be rediscovering her voice. I’m sure at some point we’ll wish she’d shut up, but until then, go on singing. 😄
