Mmm… not sure how I feel about the changes made to the original story in #BeautyNewbie. The Korean version was more scathing on the misogyny and sexism. Females had more agency.

In the Thai version, so far, the situations are frustrating at best and leading man is doing too much saving IMO.

It's the first time I've seen Baifern in a drama and she was very good. So was Jane as her rival. The rest of the cast is GMMTV actors I've mostly seen in BLs: Drake, Mike, Louis. #BeautyNewbieEP1 #BeautyNewbie

#BeautyNewbieEP1 wasn't what I expected at all. It's kind of dark and sad and also pretty slow with long stretches with no background music. I never watched the Korean version so I have nothing to compare it to but I guess I expected more of a romcom feel. #BeautyNewbie
