Black-Capped or Carolina Chickadee; small bird shown with a black head, beak + beard, white cheeks, grey wings & subtle colors on the white chest. North Texas… Jan 10.
I either saw my first Black-Capped or Carolina Chickadee today at our feeder.
There was a frenzy of activity due to the cold & snow, and this little one kept sneaking up to the window to grab seed that I left on the sill for the smaller birds.
