Ride: Independence A large group of Tenners headed north into a stiff wind. The wind was cold at first but the sun was strong it would warm up to the warmest day of the year so far. I tried to not wear myself out on the way out but it was not to be. After yesterday's ride and the headwind I was beat. I kept up the pace to Independence. Even did some gravel with the Tracys and JP. After a little rest and some food at the Ovenbird I started back out with the group, but soon fell off the pace. Once that happens I have no choice but to slow way down and just enjoy the sunshine and finish the ride at my own pass. It was a glorious day for a ride. Today qualified for my 78 km birthday ride, although I'm planning on doing an official ride on Wednesday and inviting all my friends.

Ride: Hiatt Bakery Hiatt Friday's are back! It was a cold morning so I was in no hurry to get going. The sun was out so it warmed up quickly. Decided to take the Ravn and do the gravel roads. Out Airport to Peterson. Back Peterson, Ervin, Hwy 34 and Gelatley. Met some of the ladies at Hiatt as they were getting ready to leave. Teddi and Melissa stayed and hung out with Brent and I was we enjoyed our treats. It was warm and sunny by the time I got back to Philomath I could not resist a stop at Dirt Road Brewing for Pizza and Beer. Then on the way home I found someone's phone they dropped on the bike path and ended up waiting for him to come pick it up in the park. Fellow over 70 bike rider. I invited him to join us on Tuesdays.

I was riding into it on my way to Imagine, then by the time I got out it had switched from mostly south to mostly west, so I was riding into it again. Out Grange Hall to 34, then up on 7th and 9th over the hill to West Hills rd. Another loop through campus and around town and then home.

Ride: Garden - Town The community garden where we have a couple of plots is 1.5 miles from home. So now that its Spring, my rides will frequently include a stop at the garden. Typical Spring day.
