Loop up to High Bridge for some cool views and, thanks to a new bike trail on the west side of town, is entirely off street. There’s not much for sight-lines on some of the road crossings, so be extra careful about that. Lots of tree cover!

Not sure if there’re any #UWEC #students on here, but I was heading to Duncan’ this morning and popped mapping on to show how to get there from the dorms.
Super easy. 2.4 miles. There’s a bike path along Clairemont and underpass to get you across Hastings.

Today I learned that 99% of the cyclists on my commute have school aged kids. It was like 28 Days Later this morning, the first day of Spring Break

Where is the plan for #BikeDEN?
Madison isn't a designated #bikeroute so no bike infrastructure looks to be included. What about along Alameda?
Alameda is a "Green Belt" from Aurora to DC Burns Park at CO Blvd.

What do the green signs mean in #Denver that say things like #BikeRoute or have a 🚲 on them an arrows?

I thought it meant they were "Existing #BikeDEN Facilities," but I was told Elizabeth isn't one & it's not on the bit.ly/denverbikemap.

I don't understand why Denver Parks & Rec MUST locate a row of dumpsters & a bank of Porta-potties for special events along the D8 #bikeroute connecting #bikeDEN through #CityPark.

There are so many alternatives available that are better for everyone. Here's just one.

A hairy caterpillar crossing a dry hardcore road. It was moving a fair speed.

A hairy caterpillar crossing a dry hardcore road. It was moving a fair speed.

A street sign with, top to bottom, a diamond shaped orange background and black edge and a figure with a shovel as though digging. The upper right half if folded down sothe head looks to be missing.

Below that a black and white rectangle with the words Crioch / End (Irish and English).

Below those, two exact same signs, white with blue, pointing in opposite directions indicating the Euro Velo One route choices at the junction.

All before a sunny blue sky with fluffy clouds.

Why did the caterpillar cross the road?

I asked, it glanced at the sign and said:

“Choose your own adventure.” Not stopping for any further chit chat. 🐛

So I did.

And now you know.

Crioch / End.
