That’s a wrap for this years Engineering Recombinant Proteins for Structural and Functional Studies 2025. A big thank you to all attendees and our fantastic sponsors #BiochemEvent
Day 1 of our training event was a success with great networking! We’re looking forward to another day of insightful sessions on improving protein purification and protein behaviour using biophysical assays #BiochemEvent
Engineering Recombinant Proteins for Structural and Functional Studies 2025 has begun! We’re looking forward to exploring strategies for producing high-quality, pure, and homogenous recombinant proteins #BiochemEvent
Not sure if that's what @biochemsoc.bsky.social had in mind when asking us to share our conference experience with the tags #BiochemEvent and #SBUK2025, but here comes my humorous SKETCH of this week's London gathering

Dana Heldt, Innovate UK
Rodrigo Ledesma-Amaro, PhD, Imperial College London
Brenda Parker, UCL
Anca Tacu, UCL
TLDR: 10/10 would recommend this #biochemevent to any ECR at PhD through to pdra. Carving the time out to go through something that could benefit your career is massive. Came away with loads of connections and ideas. Cake was mint aswell. There was a savoury lunch, I had no photos of.
A massive thank you to @biochemsoc.bsky.social in organising this #biochemevent to all the speakers including David P Smith, Lisa Chakrabarti, James, Kamar and the Biochem staff (Katie, Orla, Holly and Heather) who helped facilitate the sessions.
@delaconcepcionjc.bsky.social from @gmivienna.bsky.social (a @johninnescentre.bsky.social alumnus) delivered his 2026 Early Career Research Award Lecture on NLR engineering and his ongoing cryo-ET work! #BiochemEvent
@samtmugford.bsky.social from @johninnescentre.bsky.social gave an excellent 2025 Research Support Award Lecture on his work with @saskiahogenhout.bsky.social, exploring plant–insect interactions. #BiochemEvent
I had the honour of giving a talk at the Biochemical Society conference and finally received the medal. Grateful once again to everyone who made this possible! #BiochemEvent

Exciting few days in the North West to come!
On my way back from the Transcription and Chromatin UK meeting in Manchester. It was a great meeting with lots of cool science discussed! At dinner we were trying to guess where it will be next year - Edinburgh or Birmingham? 😀 @biochemsoc.bsky.social #BiochemEvent
Currently at the Transcription and Chromatin event. Great to see so much networking, exploring posters and inspiring sessions taking place! 🧪 #BiochemEvent
