I’m pretty sure the Yellow Rumped Warblers that over-wintered here, have left now, but more beauties still arrive.
#BirdRestStop #Birds
this bird is at a concrete ground level birdbath that’s in my backyard. That is my dog play space , but they were inside.
I thought i posted this earlier but can’t find it..
Hermit Thrush today at mini-pond #Birds #BirdRestStop
Fox Sparrow is here! #BirdRestStop
#Birds
I believe a mixed flock of warblers just arrived today this warbler on the right looks like an immature or a female Hermit Warbler, see the yellow face? #BirdRestStop
#Birds
I’m really excited to see Fox Sparrow. please forgive me for posting her twice today.
#Birds
This is not the same Fox sparrow that was here a few days ago. I think they’re just moving through my yard on migration because her chest has a different pattern on it.
#BirdRestStop
One of about six Golden Crowned sparrows that are visiting the yard right now. I think these will also be on their way soon and then the ones that arrive late will over winter in my yard. #Birds
#BirdRestStop
This bird looks like it’s forging for food among the plants and logs of the wildlife pond
Another Swainson’s Thrush passing through. I have two cameras on this birdbath since I only have two birdbaths right now because these cameras miss half the Birds this is one of the two cameras that picked her up.
#BirdRestStop #Birds
Notice the large pronounced buff-colored eyering…
The first Yellow Rumped Warblers for fall migration have arrived, #Birds
#BirdRestStop
I think it’s two YRW ? can you see the one bathing?
Just a still capture in black and white at shallow bird bath
Fox Sparrow at day break film in black and white. If she is a daylight flyer she is probably contining her migration. #Birds
#BirdRestStop
i notice many North American migrants stay 2 to 3 days. birds going to South America only make the equivalent of an F1 pit stop.
This looks like hermit thrush!
Or maybe it is Fox sparrow but the color seems more Thrush.
If so it’s my first Thrush of fall migration.
#BirdRestStop

Little “hermit” Pacific Wren takes a bath while mostly sitting on a stick that lies across protected birdbath.
I have never had Pacific Wrens stay in my urban habitat more than three days. This bath wax late so I assume she will be moving on.
#BirdRestStop
#Migration
Here is Pacific Wren today. I think of them as hermit-wren they’re really shy and you don’t see them very often. I think they live in more forested areas not my urban habitat.
#Migration #BirdRestStop
She’s at protective birdbath she looks unsure. She comes and goes three times
Another Wilson’s Warbler probably passing through.
#BirdRestStop
About a half a block from me there were these beautiful tickets of blackberries and all kinds of wild roses and the owners just cleared them today right during the nesting season for these birds who nest through August in thickets.
I bet she leaves tonight. She has to go breed in a dense forest.
#BirdRestStop
I hope my habitat gave her the food and reprise she needed to continue on the last leg of her intercontinental journey.
Swainson’s Thrush
Swainson’s Thrush should be moving on any minute.
#BirdRestStop
A thrush in a bowl taking a bath in the sunlight she’s pretty far away. I probably should go adjust this camera. I’ve been moving things around to make way for my pond. There’s plants and dirt surrounding the bowl.
Swainson’s Thrush made it! She is being really shy. My favorite bird. My favorite bird song. #BirdRestStop
Wait I thought you left? Wilson’s Warbler…maybe a different migrant?
#BirdRestStop
At a copper bowl on the ground. He is there for a few seconds, green plants in the background, a wood strawberry plant in the foreground.
This looks like a golden Crowned sparrow. I haven’t seen one and what feels like ages. He should be up in the tundra right now. #BirdRestStop
Little Wilson’s Warbler is still here. #BirdRestStop
Birds nest later in the Pacific Northwest then in a lot of other places usually because they’re waiting for insects to emerge to feed their young.
Wilson’s Warbler today. They like to nest in areas with dense thickets of willow and alder. Should be moving on soon.
#BirdRestStop He is also at concrete bath it sits on the ground and has a wire bird-only cage over the top of it
Little Wilson’s Warbler has been hanging out for a few days. #BirdRestStop
They are quick birds -here he gets on the camera with Black Capped Chickadee both bathe. #Birds
A different Hermit Thrush today stopping by on migration. #BirdRestStop
#LightsOut
She is at mini-pond she takes a bath. Dead wood surrounds the pond to hopefully give birds a change to hear any cats approaching. (Unlikely if you know cats, but it is good to try)
Such a beautiful Yellow Rumped Warbler, this one arrived at my urban habitat a couple of days ago. He probably will be on his way to a forest soon. #Birds
#BirdRestStop
#LightsOut
Three’s a Crowd
White Crowned Sparrows still here or just arriving on their migration. #Birds
#BirdRestStop
#LightsOutForMigration
Still some yellow rumped warblers passing through. The ones that over wintered mostly left.
#BirdRestStop
evening baths for all the golden crown sparrows in the yard I believe there are at least five or six. I bet they’re migrating tonight. #Birds
#BirdRestStop
OK, this will be my Hermit Thrush account for a while. They don’t nest in my urban yard, just passing through…
#BirdRestStop I think migration is underway.
She sits for a nice close-up under the plants the goes left. #Birds
A gathering of Yellow Rumped Warblers today.
My yard is a #BirdRestStop for migratory #birds 🪶
Good Morning! First #bird on my cameras today was this beautiful Fox Sparrow.

Thrush talking today maybe Swainson’s, the tail is a different color. #BirdRestStop
