This is a much better film than a lot of us original Candyman fans give it credit for. I certainly hope it grows on people: it's really well done, scary & tackles really hard stuff.

Sugar Hill (1974) has always had my attention, in that it's one of the only productions ever to actually name "the baron" by his actual name. Even 'American Horror Stories' wouldn't do that.
