Volume up. On this date seven years ago, Grandma says grace before lunch. #BlessedMemories
Christmas with grandma (2014). #BlessedMemories
A very large blue bird is standing behind a hedge. His legs are visible but not his feet. His head is turned to his right so we can see the blue and green feathers in his crest and the white markings above and below his eye.

One of the peacocks from when we took grandma to see the Peafowl of Palos Verdes. She loved seeing them. It was something we always did when we drove up to Los Angeles to visit her. #BlessedMemories

On this visit to Grandma's house, we opened presents, then went to see the pretty lights at Sleepy Hollow in Torrance. The houses are so big there, and they always have gorgeous light displays. #BlessedMemories
#BlessedMemories of the trips with grandma to Palos Verdes to see the Peafowl. On this day in 2018, we found more than we had ever seen. I think we saw at least forty. It's nice to hear her voice, even if it is just a recording.
On this visit to Grandma's, she cut some gorgeous flowers from her garden, and we took her to see Grandpa's grave. Then we went to the harbor in Marina Del Rey for lunch on the water. They had a pond out front with Koi and turtles, and grandma loved feeding the fishies. I miss her. #BlessedMemories
A very old picture of my dog NikiNikita.

Grandma delighted in visiting the Peafowl at Palos Verdes. (She asks why we didn't bring something to feed them)❤ .
The video cuts off right before she said
''Come here pretty birdie and let me pet you."🥰
The last photo is her waving goodbye from her chair in the living room. #BlessedMemories
From the archives (2011) at Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary in Del Mar, CA. Me & Abbie. We used to like to go and visit the sanctuary birds. You could buy cups of food for them. Personal visits when a bird would want you to hold it. Abbie passed away a few years ago. #BlessedMemories #BirdsMatter
Scrub jay skreeting like he wanted to be one of the wild parrots! #Skreet! #BlessedMemories
We took Grandma to Black Bear Diner, a visit with the Peacocks of Palos Verdes, and then sunset at the ocean. She loved an ocean sunset. #BlessedMemories
We visited Grandma that day. Her Hydrangea, the big tree with birds feeding under it, and the swingset I played on for almost 60 years. I would always swing when I went to visit. #BlessedMemories
Because 4th of July fell mid-week that year, we celebrated Independence Day early at Grandma's. Fireworks in her backyard, like so many of the years we did as kids. I miss her. #BlessedMemories
We used to drive up to grandma's at least twice a month. On this visit, we baked her favorite coconut cream pie, picked her up a flat of Carlsbad strawberries and some pretty flowers they had there, and went out for supper to Pizza Show. #BlessedMemories
Seven years ago, we gathered to celebrate my grandma's 98th birthday. I hired John Rosen, Banjo player extraordinaire, to provide music. It brought great joy into my heart to see grandma's brother, who was suffering with Alzheimer's, enjoying the music so much. #BlessedMemories
When us kids were little, Grandma had a couple Desert tortoises. She called them "Pokies." Anytime we visited, we would ask her to bring out the Pokies. They loved clover flowers. We would pick the tiny flowers and feed them. This photo is of clover at Grandma's house. #BlessedMemories
Chalk art at Grandma's house. We visited her every month, and always left art on the brick wall that she and my Grandpa built in the 1940's.
