The beautiful, silvery young Dace inhabiting the gravelly shallows of the Great Ouse banks were quite inquisitive and almost gave me a manicure.

Amazed that visibility in Great Ouse in the 750 m downstream of Brownshill Lock was quite good, c2m, & amazed too that the most abundant fish were young Dace - teeming shoals of them, with a few Roach, Perch & even a non-native Bitterling mixed in.
