View from the beach inland to the path down to the beach and the old boat ramp on the left with the three story Boggle Hole Youth Hostel in the distance between the tree lined cliffs rising up either side. The hostel is painted dark brown and blends in nicely to the surroundings. There is a sandy beach in the foreground with pools of water here and there.
Shale cliffs with a small bank of seagrass at the base to the left and centre and further cliffs in the distance to the right. There are pools of water and sand in the foreground.
View out towards the North Sea. There are rock pools and sand bars some covered in sea grass. The tide is still out but just starting to come in and you can see small waves on the water as it rolls towards shore. The sky is absolutely clear no clouds at all.

In the middle distance and across the view from left to right are rock pools and more sand banks with seagrass. There are very few clouds low above the cliff on the right in the distance otherwise the sky is bright blue, growing lighter as it meets the sea.
Boggle Hole and Robin's Hood Bay, North York Moors National Park. Besides being an old smugglers cove it is rich in fossils especially ammonites. I found none as the tide was coming in so my time was limited. Beautiful and well worth a second future visit. #NorthEast #NorthYorkshire #BoggleHole

Tonight, we're staying at a youth hostel tucked away in a smugglers' cove on the Yorkshire Coast. In fact, it's so much of a smugglers cove, they have signs up asking you to watch out for unusual boat activity!
