The #IndianNationalCongress declared independence for #BritishIndia on #ThisDayInHistory in 1930. It would take 17 years to achieve #PurnaSwaraj from Britain. #India later reused the same date for its constitution taking effect, so this day is observed as #RepublicDay there.
The British Empire did so much damage to the identity of Palestinians and caused the refugee crisis in British India after the partition.
