I went to the Ashmolean Museum on a trip to Oxford last week. One of the best things was a painting called The Knight's Guerdon by Robert Braithwaite Martineau (died 1869) whose work shares some of the Pre-Raph ideals. Also a lesson in how to paint a carpet. #BritishSchool #painting
