Aquaman’s son by an Inuit woman named Kako. They met in their teens, and Aquaman was chased off by her brother (Ocean Master. This was a time which he wasn’t related to Aquaman), so he wasn’t there for Koryak growing up in Northern Canada. He has Aquaman’s powers but also Hydrokinesis and the ability to create hard-water objects he can project from his forehead. He resents Aquaman and Tempest’s close relationship and moves to Atlantis, seemingly to develop his bond with his dad. His quick temper and lack of experience caused him to be exiled after his actions caused the release of Kordax. he’s a fun character and it would be interesting to see Aquaman actually develop a relationship with his living child if they ever brought him back. Mera thinks he was killed after being manipulated into killing the Dweller-of-the-Depths, but we could just say she was wrong.
Murk is a high ranking officer in Aquaman’s military who betrays him for Ocean Master. I believe he face-turns later, but I don’t know for sure. If not, he should. His gruff and battle ready personality work well as the commander of Aquaman’s forces. His look is a modified version of what I would want all Atlantean commanders (not born of royalty or high class citizens) to wear. I imagine these sorts of metals would be harder to come by underwater since they would be found in more extreme environments. While the Men-Of-War troops have full body covering armour I would think they’d be made of less sturdy material. These uniforms also allow for more customization to let the troops know which commander they’re serving.
Pretty basic look for an important character. He’s made out of water and has a cross on his face. He fathered the ocean gods and all sea life.
Bugala is a unique looking creature that stalks an out of the way colony. It returns as a robot later. While it doesn’t have many appearances I believe it could work as a mid-level Godzilla type enemy (it even has a mecha-version). A unique monster with a hate for Aquaman and immunity to his telepathy. It’s also another monster that could be explained as an unfortunate mutation from the Abyssal Dark. That would also explain it’s immunity to Aquaman’s powers and heightened intelligence.
