"Oh, but it's not the Brexit we wanted"... no, because that would have taken hard work, good faith, and a set of economic circumstances which Brexit made *less* likely. Not Hannan's Enid Blyton version of Britain in a global economy. Brexit was #BuiltOnLies, and could never deal with reality.
All very well saying that in the City, where the Brexit-induced flood of institutions, skills and money out of the UK is still keenly felt. Starmer should be saying this in Parliament, and it should be repeated to Farage every time he gets up on his hind legs. Brexit is #BuiltOnLies.
I thought we were still in the SM, as promised. Oh, no - I remember, it was a pack of lies, foisted on us by a pack of liars who knew Brexit was a lousy deal but didn't care because they were cosily insulated from its disastrous, ongoing effect on the economy. Brexit is forever #BuiltOnLies.
The fact that Brexit is #BuiltOnLies is never going to change. All we're seeing now is what happens when a liars' fantasy meets reality. GDP depressed for decades; piddling bilateral trade deals; Britain left in the dust, too proud to admit it was conned by the Brexit shysters.

Because their argument was that the 0.6% of UK public spending that went on EU membership was the root of all the UK's ills, and now that the whole country can see that's bullshit, they've gone all quiet.
Brexit is #BuiltOnLies and always will be.
#ProjectReality.
Brexit is #BuiltOnLies, and always will be. Whenever it encounters reality, we continue to suffer the consequences. The people who instigated it (Johnson, Hannan, Mogg and others) knew, on the other hand, that *they* would be comfortably insulated from the damage.
Brexit is #BuiltOnLies, and nothing Gove does can ever change that fact. He disgraces the institution he inhabits.
Brexit is #BuiltOnLies. That's why the outcome is so f***ing dire every damn time it has to deal with reality.
It gets better, by the way. Apparently (according to government, that is...), banning the use of neonics was supposed to be a #BrexitBenefit! Yet another example of how Brexit is #BuiltOnLies. (Gove, by the way, bravely scarpered from his Surrey constituency rather than face the ballot box.)
Brexit continues to demonstrate that it is #BuiltOnLies and can't stand the encounter with facts. The "race to the bottom" in food safety standards wasn't an artifact of "Project Fear", it was a simple warning from #ProjectReality.
NB - These aren't Labour's figures, they're from the Treasury and OBR... *and they were available to the Conservative Government*, which chose to ignore them.
Brexit is #BuiltOnLies, and will continue to fail until that's acknowledged and addressed.
Brexit will continue to fail, and to harm the UK's citizens, because it is #BuiltOnLies, and can't stand the encounter with reality.
